General Questions

Helpful guides and answers about our services.

We use a system where we charge by the hour and the rate depends on the size of the truck and how many movers we need to get your stuff from one place to another. The clock starts when our team gets to your house and stops when we finish putting all your furniture in your place. We also add a fee to cover the time it takes to get to and from our base.
Yes, we have a minimum of 2 hours for moves on weekdays like most other moving companies in Melbourne. If you want to move on a weekend, especially on Saturdays when a lot of people are moving, we need at least 3 or 4 hours. This is because we have to make sure we have removals in Melbourne who are following all the transport rules.
The answer is yes, it does cost more. This is because our movers get paid more on weekends and we have to pass that cost on to you. If you want to save money, it is better to plan your move on a Monday to Thursday.
Our removalists in Melbourne are skilled and they can handle any kind of building but you need to tell us about it when you ask for a quote. If there are a lot of stairs or the truck cannot park close to the door, it takes us longer to get your stuff in. So we need to know about these things ahead of time so we can bring the right number of movers.
Yes, it is. We have insurance that covers your things in case something bad happens while we are loading, driving, or unloading them. If you pack your own boxes, you need to make sure you wrap fragile things carefully because our insurance does not cover damage if the boxes are not packed right.
We think it is a good idea to book us 2 to 3 weeks ahead of time. If you are moving at the end of the month or on a Friday or Saturday, you should book us 4 weeks ahead of time because those times are very busy in Melbourne.
Yes, please do. It is easy to leave clothes in the drawers, but it is not a good idea. The extra weight of items inside can hurt the furniture when we are carrying it. It is better to take everything out.
Yes, there are. We cannot move things which are dangerous and safety hazardous like gas cylinders or flammable liquids. We are not able to move pets, certain plants, or very valuable things like jewelry or important papers. You should keep those things with you in your car.
